The use of high quality transparent parchment tissue plays a major part in the protection of the photographs keeping humidity off their surface. Humidity is the worst enemy of photographs as it causes their wear regardless of the way they are printed. Digital book albums lack parchment and, therefore, their pages should be turned over from time to time in order to dry out, even if they are bound using high quality materials (pvc sheet and dry cold glue) to achieve stability and avoid humidity.
